May Done

Woke early but the sun was up already. After lying in bed a while I decided to get up and do some online stuff, just catch up with a few things. However, Broc also got up, which was unusual for him, and he then pestered Pat so she got up too. Having done that the mutt went back to bed!!! So my 7am-8am free hour (in my head) vanished. Oh well. I made toast and tea and took Broc for an early walk - a good longish one too. We went along the river checking the access and I took a few nice photos, including one of the planned path closures while they wreck the local area to build this new bridge. Got home and had a shower, chatted to pals online, including Paul who is fed up of music at the moment after so many shitty jobs. I then had a little time to plan my afternoon and hopefully sort the Prism / Twitch issue I had yesterday. Will do that before I drink or fire up the volcano. I'm working my way through the 12 P3 banks of sequencer parts I've got in various stages of development but I've already got three that will suffice for the Morphic Resonance thing a week on Saturday. Just curious whether there's a killer piece I should use instead of any of those. I'll go online again just to test stability and audio stream quality, a good excuse for a bit of discipline really and an imagined live scenario. I do play differently if there's a camera and a potential audience, have noticed this. Not necessarily better either, just differently. Yesterday's thing was surprisingly low key and mellow, for example, but the levels were low and the lighting poor, so thing to work on there.

I think lunch today is another of those warmed up vegan slices (not a slice of an actual vegan though). I didn't get any Desperados this week but feel I should drink some of the stuff I bought (in excess) while on Angelsey. That's my day mapped out. I think there's more of the chicken garlic stew for tea and I wil slide into comfortable oblivion in the evening, no doubt watching nonsense on TV and wondering if Pat will go to bed early so I can watch some of the dodgy old horror films I've recorded, as well as chat to pals online...

Photos from this morning, did some music/video this afternoon..

Did two vids, dunno if I pasted the right ones in. More lights needed for the dark bit which I may have fogotten to include in these anyway... I know, I Know!

Anglesey

Spent a week in a really lovely place owned by an old school pal (part of our legendary France trip) and it was a game of two halves, weather-wise. Week started with glorious sunshine and ended kinda wet and windy. We had a look around though and I picked up loads of pebbles, wandered around Parys Mountain, were generally impressed with the place and how quiet it all was, apart from the wind...

Took some pix, these are the best...

Talking with SOS about another review or possibly two...

Still may

It's been an odd month so far, lots of online stuff beyond the scope of this blog and quite a bit of time lost. Weather has really bucked up and this week Tony worked on his van so we didn't walk - felt like time off actually, made me wonder whether more time off would be even better. Pat went to Earl's funeral, went OK but later some unpleasantness between the Dawns re: leaving anything - short answer 'tough titty'.

Friday today and I have plans. In the last week I've gone through all my P3 banks and associated JD-XA patches, noting the right Digitone pattern to trigger them. I might consider adding further stuff synced up from setup 2, although even writing that feels like overkill.

It's later and you can tell I've been busy cos no entries here. Today, thanks to Cara, I finally got both Kindle and paperback versions of JAA and WSGL uploaded with fonts and formating all sorted out at long last. Turns out my previous kindle versions had screwed fonts, didn't notice with JAA and didn't with WSGL either at first. Now all good. Had to reformat the JAA cover as the new fonts increased the page count by about 80 pages (!) and sadly the cost too by a quid. Both books are now as good as they can be I think, don't want to go and work on them any more! Could not get the fonts right in the kindle version without Cara doing it in calibre (?) as my epub plugin for Open Office didn't work and none of the 5-6 formats I tried worked. The only one where the fonts looked right were when I used Word's export function to PDF which unfortunatey resulted in a graphic-only version. Amazon really need to sort that. They do an app but it's shit - at least on this laptop as you can't scale the text and I can't read a word.

Tomorrow I may get some studio time. Superbooth coming up and some very cool things including the Polybrute 12 at long last.

May be

Yeah it is. April saw the great Pillar / Road Closed / Burst Tyre saga, which I don't actually feel like reliving. Let's see if I can paste it in from somewhere.

Did Pillar yesterday and Red Pike in what was already my least favourite corner of the Lakes due to its remoteness and shitty roads...
Anyway, main road closure followed by breakdown on the moors (hit a rock) meant we didn't get home until after 4 a.m. - and have to go back for the car today...

That was my facebook thing, understated.

Oh yes, the loft ladder. Not better but different. Angle better for leaving down but not so easy to descend from.
Doc didn;t think it worth doing my cyst but did look at my cock. Something called Lycan might be on it, pre-cancerous, so that's getting a cream. Or something. I should look it up. Or should I?
Need to do garden stuff. Booked Berlin for Sept. Pat had only that date for a week with Marg and now won't go in case she arrives back late. Told her Rachael and Daniel would dog but she's made her mind up, Offered to go fewer days but no, that's it. Felt bad, as I guess I'm meant to. I'd written on that Friday weeks ago and she never said owt. Oh well. Mine might not even happen so only booked cheapest flights.
